The Market Hotness Index continued to edge lower to 100.00 for the week ending September 01, 2024. The index has been steadily declining since June and this appears to be a seasonal trend for the U.S. housing market. Uncertainty with respect to rates, unemployment and the election are keeping buyers and sellers on the sidelines. Monroe County, New York, continues to be the most competitive housing market.
